We enjoyed nature walks with Raphael who is so knowledgeable and friendly. In the evenings it was fun to sit around the bonfire and then at night we enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace. The meals were exceptional and prepared ably and happily by Miriam and her team. Simeon, the manager is kind, accommodating, reassuring and ready to assist. “We can’t thank the staff at Ekorian enough! Nothing was too much trouble for them. We decided to celebrate my mom’s birthday in the bush – we stayed for four nights and each day felt like a celebration. The food was outstanding with delicious and interesting meals everyday! Ekorian is kid friendly and the staff were often kicking a football or playing with a bow and arrow with my four year old son. They were very giving of their time and he loved his stay. Angelika the manager was very responsive and completely professional, helping us to source everything from dhow cruises to fire-dancers – we could not have asked for more from a host. The staff were also very organised and flexible and Humphrey the chef kept everyone happy with lovely breakfasts and incredible fish and prawns – everything was delicious! “If you’re looking for a place on Champagne Ridge and this is available, book it. Perfect for groups and couples as the bedrooms are independent and private. The view is exceptional and the staff are amazing (not to mention great cooks). The small touches like evening fires and charcoal for the BBQ make the experience feel special. If you’ve stayed here previously, you’ll be pleased to see that there have been a number of upgrades at Olohoro – furniture, kitchen wear, a real espresso maker, and a full gas bbq. All in service of helping you enjoy the spectacular view. Also of note, the 4g service is now solid in this area, so a work-cation is totally possible. My 4th time here and will be back again!”
“The Studio is a wonderful gem on the shores of Lake Naivasha. We were surrounded by birds and animals the entire time, and the staff took very good care of us when needed. The space is stylish, and the kitchen well equipped. Be sure to get some fresh veggies from the garden!”
“Absolute luxury, beautiful bedrooms, incredible food, wonderful company. This is the most beautiful house and I couldn’t fault it. We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful ride, swam in the most beautiful pool, wandered an incredible garden and ate like Kings and Queens. Cindy was the most marvellous host who knew all the answers to all our eager questions! I would recommend Deloraine without any hesitation.”
“Hippo Point is one of the most amazing places you’ll ever set foot in! From the moment you arrive, you will feel like you have come to a magical place. Surrounded by wildlife, looking out onto both lakes, with smiling friendly helpful faces everywhere who will take care of whatever you might need, and the most amazing fresh food you can imagine! There is an amazing pool also overlooking the lake and the morning safari walks are fantastic. Every single room is beautifully decorated and the touch of history at the Manor House transports you back in time a little. We absolutely can’t wait to return!”

A beautiful location, superb food, cool tents, amazing landscape, game drives and sundowners, chilled kayaking and walking, professional hosts and great and friendly staff. Nicole and her team were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble, but that being said they had already thought of everything so all we had to do was sit back and relax! We had a delicious dinner prepared by the in-house Chef as we enjoyed views and the sound of the ocean! This property is perfect for a getaway where you can relax, unwind and regenerate. There was nothing that was inconvenient for them. This was truly a much better stay than in any sort of hotel. We had our 6-month old with us, and the spot was so friendly for him to play and swim. We snorkeled on the coral reef at Msimbati beach, walked in the footsteps of David Livingstone, sailed in a dhow around the historic Swahili harbour, relaxed around the shaded pool, ate, drank and enjoyed the company at this wonderful place.”

“Tomuru is a little piece of paradise. Set on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, the house is perfectly equipped and staffed. The pool is phenomenal, the rooms are spacious and well furnished, with mosquito nets, fans and air-conditioning. All of the house staff went out of their way to make our stay very special. The house is clean, and incredibly well appointed with all the equipment one needs to relax in the “wilderness”. The staff and management are very friendly. The fridge was well stocked with drinks which were replenished whenever we required. The staff are very good and I have to mention Catherine, the cook, in particular! She is a great cook and we thoroughly enjoyed all our meals which were delicious. Nicole was very accommodating of all our particular food requests in her menu planning! The pool was fantastic for the kids and the proximity to the beach-boy-less beach was a major positive. But what really made this stay for us was the staff, and in particular the chef Douglas. We couldn’t have been better looked after and we’ll definitely be visiting again in the coming year.”

“A Parisian couple fell in love with Lamu in the late 1990s and bought this exceptionally charming house which they then converted into a private holiday home. The almost triangular pool is set in a lush green gardens dotted with vibrant bougainvillea flowers. Renovations have since been made to make the house very child-friendly with guarded staircases, balconies and a wooden-fenced pool. It can accommodate up to 16 guests in 8 characterful double / twin bedrooms spread across several floors with numerous stylish lounging areas. The kitchen makes the best shortbread cake in the area.”
